Because of it's open floor plan, this is a great space for a small family or a small group of close friends.
Location: Located on the top floor of a historical and residential Palazzo, it's perfect for a family or a small group of friends who want to be in the center of everything Rome has to offer (without having to take taxi's or buses). Because it's located on a side street (just off a very well known shopping street) the apartment is quiet - a great place to escape after the crowds of Rome.
View: Unlike many apartments in Rome, because this apartment is located on the top floor with a wall of windows the sun brightly lights the entire space. Sit at the kitchen table and enjoy the roof line of the surrounding apartments and churches. (Don't worry, there are privacy curtains!)
Entrance: When you enter the apartment you walk in a large room with bunk beds. Ahead is a door and the rest of the living room.
Living Room: The living room has a couch and dining table with a spectacular view at and above the other rooflines.
Main Bedroom: The main bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted to one large bed. The room has a curtain to section it off from the rest of the house.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a fridge, stove and above sink sink drying rack. Coffee/tea pots, plates, etc.
Bathroom: Shower/Tub, toliet, bedet, sink and heated towel rack.
The entire apartment! Kitchen. Bathroom. Sleeping areas.
If you stay here we are basically neighbors. Let me know and I can give you a quick tour around (this is all you need to learn the main streets/areas of the "heart" of Rome).
Piazza Navona. Campo de Fiori. Castel Sant'angelo. The Pantheon. The Vatican are all reachable in about a five minute walk. "Ancient Rome" (including the Coliseum) is about 10-15minutes - depending on how quick you stroll (and how quick you make it past all the bakeries and gelato shops!) .
Since I live in this neighborhood I can tell you it truly is the perfect place for a family or singles looking to enjoy being "in" with it all. It's safe (I've walked back in the wee hours of the morning and felt more then safe). It's close to a gorgeous park for children (behind Castel Sant'angelo). It's just minutes from every major historical attraction - and each and everyone of those attractions is easily walkable. It's also a really quiet building - since the apartment is on a side street there isn't much foot traffic - you'll get a quiet, peaceful nights sleep!
Cafe's, shops, grocery stores - anything you can think of is literally out the palazzo's door.
Walking: Because of the location you can literally walk everywhere...
Taxi: Just at the end of the block is a taxi stand where there are continually taxi's waiting to take you where ever you desire.
Buses: About a 5 minute walk in either direction and you will be at one of two large bus stops. These buses can take you to some of the larger (and not to be missed) parks in Rome.
Train: Termini is about a 10 minute bus or taxi ride (the bus can be caught just down the block from this apartment).
This is an open floor plan house - there are curtains rather then doors sectioning the sleeping areas from the main living areas of the house.
The windows are huge, but safe for younger children (not so low that it's easy to fall out!).
Safety: To reach the apartment you enter one large palazzo door, a gate, an ante chamber door and finally your own apartment door. All these doors are important in a city like Rome where petty theft can be common!
